He raised an eyebrow seeing the girl almost immediately turn around when he got close. She certainly couldn’t have been from his town, and she didn’t have features matching himself or his kin. He crouched down as he shook his head “No I’m not, though you seem to be. This forest isn’t exactly the safest place to be, child” he said as he pulled down his hood. “Where are you from?” he asked as he tilted his head to the side.
Pale blue-grey hues blinked at the man as he crouched down, almost reaching her height, but he was still a bit taller than herself. “I’m not lost.” She replied without even hesitating, in fact, she was a bit offended that he thought she was lost. At his question she shrugged before taking a step back from him. “A cottage. In the forest.” Her eyes stayed focused on him, although they were drawn to his hair. It was a bright shade of white, which made her wonder. “Why is an old man in the forest by himself?”
Old man? Cottage? The girl had to be suffering from the cold to be thinking this. He still young, wasn’t he?. He shook his head as he sighed “I don’t think you quite no where you are young lady, there’s no cottage out here. Never has been one out here” he said as he closed his eyes for a few moments before opening them once more. “Come on, I’ll take you somewhere warmer, must be getting cold.”
